Rosedale - Midtown isn’t one of those neighbourhoods that’s teeming with condos, but the ones that do reside in the area are often quite spectacular. The Hill and Dale Residences is no exception to this rule: the 2018-built condo is both futuristic and intimate, with only 15 midtown Toronto condos in the entire glass-clad building.
Nevertheless, 1027 Yonge Street reaches to 6 storeys tall, with office and retail space occupying the lower levels. The architects at Studio JCI and developers at Old Stonehenge Development Corporation thought this project through, making sure to include a private entrance for residents, and setting homes back from street level in order to minimize noise. And to top it all off, the building is wrapped almost entirely in glass, which makes for both plenty of natural lighting and stunning views of the city.
The Suites
Between the interior design and the suite sizes, the homes at 1027 Yonge are attractive places to live, to say the least. All of the suites measure in at around 2,200 square feet and contain 2 bedrooms plus a den, and interior design firm Chapi Chapo ensured units feel more like houses than most Toronto condos for sale.
Floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows allow natural lighting to brighten living spaces, while French doors and natural stone in ensuite bathrooms are just one of many luxurious touches. Master bathrooms also contain spa-like deep tubs and walk-in showers, while kitchens at 1027 Yonge boast Appliances by high-end German brand Gaggenau and bulthaup cabinetry.
The materials chosen to adorn the suites are about as tasteful as they come, such as engineered oak flooring and marble fireplaces. And last but not least, the homes open out onto sizeable terraces wrapped in glass, some of which are located up on the roof.
The Neighbourhood
Living at 1027 Yonge Street at Roxborough has its perks. This particular stretch of Yonge is lined with high high-end boutiques, elegant eateries, posh beauty salons, and more. And when residents feel like indulging, they only need to head two blocks north in order to reach Nadège Patisserie.
Yorkville is also a short walk — or an even shorter subway ride — away from the Hill and Dale Residences. Here, residents can find some of the most expensive shops in the city, as well as a Cineplex, the Toronto Reference Library, and the Royal Ontario Museum.
Transportation
While those who prefer to drive can certainly do so, it’s often faster for residents of the Hill and Dale Residences to simply leave the car at home. With Rosedale Station just one block south, residents can use the Yonge subway line to head toward the city centre in no time. Alternatively, passengers can switch lines at the Bloor-Yonge Station in order to ride the subway east and west toward neighbourhoods like Greektown and High Park, respectively.
When heading out on trips that do require a car, drivers can use Yonge Street to reach the 401 to the north, while Rosedale Valley Road carries cars toward Bloor Street East and the Don Valley Expressway.
