Between the landscaped gardens, outdoor dining areas, barbecues, tennis court, and shuffleboard courts, it’s difficult for residents to grow bored of the offerings at the Fairways. To top it all off the historic McMaster House is situated on the same land as the Fairway Condos, with the 1911-built residence now used to hold functions for residents of 1400 Dixie and their guests
The Suites
If there’s one reason to opt for an older building (other than price), it’s the chance to find a spacious condo. While some contemporary buildings max out at 750 square feet, this is the size of the smallest unit at 1400 Dixie And those who need as much space as they can get their hands on will be glad to hear that the building is home to units as large as 3,200 square feet.
Suites in the building contain one, two, or three bedrooms, while some boast dens as well. Not all of the units have balconies, which may be a dealbreaker for some, although others are able to overlook this detail because of all the communal outdoor space afforded to residents.
As old as the building itself may be, condo seekers looking for a contemporary home are in luck, as many of the suites have been renovated over the years. The Neighbourhood
As the name suggests, the main appeal of the Lakeview neighbourhood is its proximity to Lake Ontario. However, while residents can often be found walking or cycling along the Waterfront Trail on sunny Saturdays and Sundays, rainy days might involve a trip to the nearby Sherway Gardens mall.
Transportation
Travelling around Mississauga is easy with an address like 1400 Dixie. Even those without cars have no trouble getting around with the Long Branch and Port Credit GO Stations so close at hand. For drivers, it helps that the QEW takes just 2 minutes to reach by car.
